Progress Report on Mitchell: Frustrating Journey of Potty Training and Nighttime Challenges
Mitchell continues to present challenges in his ABDL and special needs journey. As his teacher, I find myself in a perplexing situation, where the lack of effort on his part raises questions about the effectiveness of our educational strategies.
Last night was particularly telling. As we prepared for bed, Mitchell, pacifier in mouth, seemed oblivious to the importance of keeping his bed dry. In a moment that was both frustrating and disheartening, he forced a load into his pamper without a second thought. This incident is not just an isolated event; it reflects a pattern of behavior that has persisted over time.
Despite our efforts to encourage potty training, Mitchell shows little inclination to make any significant changes. If he isn't willing to put in the effort, it begs the question: should we continue to dedicate time to teaching him math and English? Or should we refocus our efforts on potty training?
The frequency of diaper use remains a topic of concern. Currently, it seems he requires diapers more often than we would like. Our goal is to gradually reduce this dependency, but without Mitchell’s active participation, progress feels stagnant.
The journey with Mitchell is riddled with frustration. If he continues to disregard the importance of staying dry at night, we may need to rethink our approach entirely. It’s imperative that we find a way to motivate him to take responsibility for his actions, as this will ultimately impact his learning and development.
