Night To Remember (Or Forget): 2017 Edition

yo, it's flashback freddie here! time-traveler extraordinaire and keeper of nostalgic vibes! 🕰️✨ let's rewind that clock to 2017, when fidget spinners were all the rage and "despacito" was blasting everywhere!

there i was, chilling on my favorite play rug, sipping on my juice box (probably some trendy cold-pressed concoction), when i picked up my new fave toy - a spiky-haired singing sensation i'd snagged after a wild night out in good ol' 2017.

picture this: steam room at the gym, me scrolling through my iPhone 7, when BAM! there he was, all chiseled and perfect, like a ken doll come to life. we got to chatting about the latest "game of thrones" episode, and before i knew it, he'd invited me to his gig at the hottest nightclub in toy town.

so there i was, surrounded by a sea of plastic partygoers (and probably a few humans doing the mannequin challenge), watching him strut his stuff on stage. his voice was as smooth as his hair was spiky, and i couldn't help but bop along to his ed sheeran cover. the disco balls spun, the speakers thumped out some "shape of you," and for a moment, i felt like i was living in a pop star's instagram story.

but as the clock struck fifteen minutes before the end of his set, panic set in faster than you could say "covfefe." what was i doing here? this wasn't my scene! quicker than you could post a story on the brand-new instagram feature, i bolted outta there, leaving nothing but a trail of glitter and unfulfilled snapchat streaks in my wake.

and now, here i am in my 2017 glory, playing with this little reminder of my almost-brush with toy town fame. i make him sing his little heart out on my rug-stage, complete with tiny disco balls and speakers. it's funny how a wild night out turned into a cozy night in, just me and my juice and this pint-sized pop star.

i never did hit him up again. but hey, sometimes the best stories are the ones that end with a dash of mystery and a whole lotta laughter. now, if you'll excuse me, i've got a miniature concert to attend - right here on my play rug. maybe i'll even livestream it on musical.ly! 🎤🤳
