Guest Post: It’s Bottle Time for Mitchell—No More Sippy Cups!

Hey Bros,

Today, I’m sharing a little update on Mitchell’s journey as we make a big change in his feeding routine. That’s right—it's bottle time! We’re ditching the sippy cups for the next week and testing out warm milk in a bottle. It’s time for some one-on-one bonding, and I’m pumped about it.

Why the Change?

First off, let’s talk about why this is important. Mitchell needs that special time with me, and what better way to connect than over a warm bottle of milk? It’s not just about nutrition; it’s about building that bond. Holding him close while he drinks gives us a chance to chat, laugh, and enjoy each other’s company. Plus, it’s a great way to transition him into a more traditional feeding style.

No Shorts Over His Pampers

Now, here’s the deal: Mitchell’s going to be getting his bottle with no shorts over his pampers. This is all part of the experience. It’s about feeling free and comfortable while enjoying his milk. Most of the time, he’s going to have a load in the seat of his cruiser, and that’s just part of the process. We all know that sometimes things can get messy, but that’s life, right?

How Many Bottles a Day?

You might be wondering how many bottles he should be fed each day. From what I’ve read and heard from others, a good starting point is about three to four bottles of warm milk daily. This gives him enough nutrition without overwhelming him.

Establishing a Routine

Here’s a routine I’m thinking about:

- Morning: Start the day with a bottle right after he wakes up. It’ll help him kick off the day with some energy.

- Midday: A bottle around lunchtime, giving him that extra boost before nap time.

- Afternoon: Another bottle in the late afternoon to keep him satisfied until dinner.

- Evening: Finally, a warm bottle before bed to help him wind down and get ready for sleep.

Rate of Feeding

As for the rate, I’ll be keeping it casual. I want him to enjoy the experience, so I won’t rush him. I’ll let him drink at his own pace, making sure he’s comfortable and happy. It’s all about creating a relaxed environment where he can feel safe and loved.

Journaling the Experience

I’ll be keeping a journal throughout this week to track how Mitchell responds to the change. I want to note his mood, how much he drinks, and any milestones we hit along the way. This is a great opportunity to reflect on our time together and see how he’s growing.

So, Bros, what do you think? Have any of you made this switch before? How did it go? I’d love to hear your thoughts and any tips you might have. Let’s make this bottle time a memorable experience for Mitchell!

Until next time, keep it real!
