Icy Heart

captured by royel for Gospel Glamour, 2025, fashion district

“in the depths of winter's chill,
where shadows dance and silence spills,
my heart encased in frost and stone,
a fortress built, yet all alone.

pain seeps in like bitter winds,
sorrow's whispers, where hope rescinds,
each heartbeat echoes, a mournful sigh,
beneath the weight of dreams gone dry.

but through the ice, a flicker glows,
a spark of life, as courage grows.
from shattered pieces, I will rise,
with wings of fire, I’ll touch the skies.

the frost may bite, the night may fall,
but I will stand, I will not crawl.
for in the depths of darkest night,
the stars will guide me, burning bright.

so let the storms rage, let the tears flow,
for in this heart, resilience will grow.
with every scar, a story told,
I’ll weave my strength from threads of gold.”
