poised for christ: a personal journey of faith and abstinence
yo, listen up, my brothers and sisters! it’s ya boy, comin’ at you with some real talk. i’ve never opened up about this before, but i’m ready to spill the tea. brace yourselves, 'cause this might shock you more than finding out your grandma’s got a tiktok account.
i’m a virgin. yeah, you heard that right. your boy’s been saving himself, and i’m not ashamed to say it. in fact, i’m proud as hell. i’m poised for christ, baby!
now, before you start thinking i’m some kind of weirdo or that i can’t get any action, let me break it down for you. this ain’t about being unable to score. it’s about making a choice – a choice to honor my body, my future spouse, and most importantly, my faith.
let’s get biblical for a hot minute. check out what my man paul says in 1 corinthians 6:18-20:
“flee from sexual immorality. all other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body. do you not know that your bodies are temples of the holy spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from god? you are not your own; you were bought at a price. therefore honor god with your bodies.”
boom! that’s some heavy stuff right there. our bodies are literally temples, y’all. would you spray paint graffiti all over a church? nah, didn’t think so.
now, let me be crystal clear – when i say i’m a virgin, i mean no sex, no sexual intercourse, period. i’m not getting into the nitty-gritty details here, but you get the picture. it’s a full lockdown, tighter than airport security.
to all my black brothers and sisters out there, i’ve got a message for you. if you’re not on this abstinence train with me, that’s your choice. but please, for the love of all that’s holy, practice safe sex! guard your hearts, protect the sanctity of your bodies. you’re worth more than a casual hookup or a drunken mistake.
remember, being poised for christ isn’t just about avoiding sex. it’s about preparing yourself, body and soul, for the blessings god has in store for you. it’s about respecting yourself enough to wait for the right person, the right time, all according to god’s plan.
so here i am, standing tall (and yeah, sometimes crawling awkwardly), but always standing firm in my faith. i’m poised for christ, and i’m not afraid to shout it from the rooftops.
stay blessed, stay safe, and remember – your body’s a temple, not a nightclub. peace out!
