distorted their vision, a treacherous course

with racism and homophobia, they divided
promising enlightenment, yet misguided
as we stood on the precipice of night
our unity faded, losing inner light

their message of love, twisted and bent
by those who came after, on destruction bent

from the depths of a forgotten past
conservative christians emerged at last
reclaiming virtues long set aside
reviving culture that almost died

in this clash of ideologies
a war for souls raged silently
would ancient wisdom prevail and thrive?
or new age fallacies survive?

the decision weighed heavy, the future unclear
to distinguish truth from cosmic veneer
in that era of profound deception
we sought discernment, true direction”
